REMOVAL OF BODIES
DEATHS OF TWO PATIENTS
Reports have been current during the past, few days that, following tho deaths of two patients in the Wellington Hospital, a mistake occurred in connection with tho body labels so that they did not, correspond with the trolley cards, with the result that undertakers removed the wrong bodies. The mistake, however, was discovered before burial.
' It was stated today by the hospital authorities that the unfortunate occurrence is being inquired into with the view of avoiding the possibility of similar mistakes occurring in the future.
Similar eases have occurred at other hospitals in-the past and it is recognised that there is a necessity for further precautions being taken in connection with deaths in hospitals.
