STOPPED AT LAST
The clock iv tho Parish Church at Rye, England, was started in 1515, was finished in 15130, and has been running ever fiiice, ex<#pt for the few times it was stopped for repairs. A well-known firm of clock makers now has the contract to keep it going, and it seems capable of runuing indefinitely. This is said to be the only clock iv the world having a pendulum swinging through the roof and into the body of the church. For years it swung over tho choir before it was discovered to be supported by only a small rustynail.
