Competition was very keen and animated, Japan being the chief buyer. Greasy fleece and skirtings showed a rise of 5 per cent, on last week's prices. Other greasy sorts showed no quotable change. Scoured M"ools met with better competition, and also showed an upward tendency in prices. Greasy wools sold to lG'Sid per Ib, scoured to 27d.

It is estimated that the average prices for last week were about 10V£d per lb and between £13 and £14 per bale.
