THE LATE W. F. J. BLAKISTON

The funeral of the late Mr. W. I". J. Elakiston, whose death occurred on Saturday morning, was hold at Karori this afternoon. The last rites were conducted by the Ecv. J. 1-1. Sykos, and the pall-bearers wero the following members of tho Atlantic Union Oil Company's staff:—Messrs. Thomson, Brown, Woir, McCallam, Eichardson, and Tabley. Tho offices of tho Atlautic Union Company, of which tho deceased was Wellington branch manager and advertising manager for New Zealand, wero closed this afternoon as a mark of respect to Mr. Blakiston's memory, and the full staff attended the funeral. Among1 tho many friends and business associates present wore Messrs. B. B. McDowell, Wellington branch manager of the Shell Oil Company; E. A. Sevier, general manager of tho Vacuum Oil Company; 11. A. Hanson, Wellington district manager for the Texas Oil Company; C. B. Todd, of Associated Motorists, Ltd.; E. A. Blundcll, of the "Evening Post"; I?. 15. Bennett, secretary of the Wcllcsley Club. ;uid other members of the flnb; A. W. Nisbet, seerelary of the Wellington Aern Club; and y. W. Mothe? and K. G.
