GAMING OR LOTTERIES

(To the Editor.)

Sir, —I sec that another attempt will bo made to get the Gaming Act amended to provide the double tote and publication of dividends. Why not go a little further and have State lotteries? When Mr. K. S. Williams was piloting this Bill (about four years ago) Mr. Broadfoot gave notice to move an amendment to introduce State lotteries. The revenue from State lotteries would put a big check on the money at present going overseas for "a, little flutter."—l am, etc.,

BRUCE.
