PRESBYTERIAN CLUB

The Presbyterian:-Club'held -a teams relay race at Miramar terminus, four i teams of four runners competing over a mile course. The teams were picked by the first four in the: club championship, the captain's being H. Cowan, A. Cbngalton, W. Scott,, and S. Dick. Tlis course was very wet and slippery, and on coming over the rise towards the cowyard-before going down the zigzag, the full force of the wind was felt, retarding progress considerably. Scott made'the pace in the first lap and led, Stephenson home by 20 yards, but Stevenson made good the- deficiency and sent Clayton away-with a good break. The lead was maintained, and Dick started with a break of 30 yards on Congalton, which he had no difficulty in keeping to the finish: •W.
