SMALL FEILDING YARDING

Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report the smallest "sale of the season at the Fcilding sale on Friday. Fat sheep, owing to reduced entry, mot with strong competition and a strong sale. Store sheep were conlined to a few pens of hoggets, which sold at recent rates. Beef cattle were penned in small numbers, and a keen sale with a rise in price resulted; dairy beef sold well in sympathy. There were no store cattle yarded. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on the Feilding sale as under:'—A small yarding of sheep in all sections met with a ready sale and bidding was animated throughout, prices showing an appreciation on recent sales. Eat cattle also hardened in value, and with a small yarding in this section resulted in a buoyant sale. Dairy cattle were yarded in heavy numbers, the quality showing an improvement on recent yardings. Consequently, prices were in excess of late rates. CARTERTON SALE. Wright, Stephenson, and Co., Ltd., report:—A heavy yarding of dairy stock and a medium entry of pigs came forward at our Cartorton sale on Friday. There was a large attendance of buyers, and a good sale resulted. Among the cattle yarded were several pens of very choice springing heifers which met with keen competition.. Indeed, prices for all classes of dairy stock ' showed a substantial rise on last week's realisations. Pigs also were in greater demand, and sold at increased rates.
