FUNERAL SERVICE AT I ST. PAUL'S

The I'uneral service for (he late Hon. Dr. AY. E. Collins, C.M.G., M.L.C., was held in .St. Paul's Pro-Cathedral yesterday afternoon. There was a large attendance, including members of the Legislature, the New Zealand branch of the Red Cross Society, the medical profession, the Defence Department, St. .John Ambulance Association, AVolHOii 's .National Reserve (Residential Xursery), and other public, organisations with which the late Dr. Collins was associated, also many old residents of AVellington and friends of the fa m i 1 \".

Tho service was conducted by the Rt. Boy. Dr. T. 11. Sprott, Bishop of AArcllington, assisted by Canon Percival James' Mr. Robert Parker, C.M.G., presided' at llio organ. Tho hymn "Abide "With Me" was sung.

The chief mourners were Mr. D. C. Collins (son) and Mr. A. Warren (nephew).

Tho pall-bearci's were tho Hon. B. Masters, Leader of the Legislative Council, Dr. T. Duncan M. Stout, Captain M. S. Galloway (secretary Wellington branch New Zealand Bed Cross Society), Mr. Dunbar Sloane (who was adjutant of the hospital ships Marama and Maheno, of which the late Dr. Collins was medical officer in charge), Mr. F. McLean, and Mr. D. Warren.
