CHRIST'S COLLEGE OLD BOYS
The Mayfair"'-.Cabaret presented ■'.&■ very gay scene .last night for the danco given by tho Wellington branch of the Christ's College Old Boys' Association, Oiily one half of the double ballroom' was used for dancing, tho other side being arranged as a lounge with chairs and tables. (
Wide streamers of the school colours (black and white) decorated the walls, and the names of the various school houses, placed at intervals, lent a noto of interest to the decorations. The entire ceiling was a mass of bright gasfilled balloons, which provided much amusement. .
A hot supper was served, and pretty bowls of japoniea and spring flowers were arranged in the supper room.
The music was particularly bright and gay. The singing of school songs and hakas brought the programme to a close.
The committee included Messrs. Eric Nathan (secrota'ry), E. E. Tripe, A. A. Roberts, A. P. Montoitb, J, W. Pearee, and L. Harper. Among those present were Mr. A. P. Harper (chairman of the Wellington branch), Mrs. E. E. Tripe (who wore (turquoise crepe), Mr. and Mrs. Russell Young (the latter wearing black and white checkod taffeta), Mr; and Mrs. W. O. Pritchard (the latter wearing Lido blue crepe), Mr. and Mrs. G. St&wart (the latter wearing red crepe); Missus Nancy Wheeler (sholl-pink laco), Alison Poarce (flowored taffeta), Joyce Nathan (geranium georgette), Betty MeParland (floral chiffon), Mary Paterson (midnight blue volvot with sequined epaulettes), Nancy Blundell (scarlet lace), Botty Reading (floral crepe), Margaret Salmond (black* and white striped ei'opo), Juliet Nathan (tea rose satin), Moya Hompton (floral taffeta and laeo), Jan Sloman (bluo crepe), Juno Luckie (sky-bluo taffeta), Frances Norman (red georgette), Jessie Peacock (black velvet), Joan Wheeler (gold satin), Janet Steele (red organdie), Margaret Miles (black organza), Janet Miles (pink organdie), Mary Gh'esney (floral crepe), Nancy fc Evans (ivory moire), N. Andrew (floral satin); Prances Harty (primrose lace and net). Marjorio Murio (violet georgette), Lynn MeGowan (black crepe with beaded yoke), E.
