KELBURN SCHOOL
FANCY DRE.SS PARTY
Tlio Kelbmn School held a very successful children's fancy dress party last evening in the social hall of 1 lie former Teachers' Training College, Kelburu, and as a result the school funds benefited to the amount of about £17. More than 250 children were present, and the colourful costumes worn by them, and the bright decorations, created'a very festive and animated ■ atmosphere. Tho programme consisted, of folk dancing in which all the classes in the--school took part, and the singing by the children was much appreciated. Miss, Oliver's pupils contributed to the programme with ballet and individual dances. The music for the folk dances was played by Mr. G. C. Smith. The Parents' and Teachers' Association was responsible for a tasty supper. t At the conclusion of the evening the chairman of the school committee, Mr. AY. P. Walker, thanked the staff-for arranging the excellent, programme, and thanked the public for their attendance.
