, After allowing for depreciation of £1248 ou buildings, chattels, and implements, the revenue account to.be presented with the report and balance-sheet at the annual general meeting of members of the Wairarapa Racing Club on August 23 shows a net loss of £376 4s 8d on the year's operations of the club. During the year," however, all the buildings were overhauled and painted at a co^t of1 £1524 7s lOcl, towards which the racecourse trustees made a grant of £125, and the buildings and plant are now' in firstclass order. The club's assets in buildings and property are valued iv the balance-sheet-at £21,274 11s Bd, and in chattels and implements at £2519 9s 6d. New horse yards are now in course of erection, an area of land having been cleared on the western side'of the horse boxes. No additional new work is anticipated during the coming year, but an effort will be marie to pay' off the debenture stock. The usual officers (to be nominated) will be elected at the annual meeting.
