DEATH OF WOMAN
CORONER'S VERDICT
A verdict of death from injuries T*odved through being accidentally ■', knocked down by a motor-car on Customhouse Quay on July 22,. was returned by the Coroner (Mr. E. Gilbertson) at an inquest'yesterday into the death of Edith Mary Richards, of Te Puke. The Coroner remarked. that the place where the accident occurred was certainly not well lit, and the buildings threw a shadow. Visibility was bad. The car was being driven carefully, and no blamo conld be attached to the driver, John B. Cunningham. At the inquest, Mr. H. F. O*Lcaiy represented the deceased 's relatives, aucl Mr. P. H. Putnam, the driver of th« ear.. ■
