REASON FOR SELECTION
MONTKEAL, August 8.
A message from Missouri states that Dr. Walter Williams, Dean .of the Missouri University School of Journalism, announced that tho Press Congress of tho world will be convened at Melbourne next month. Tho exact da^cs will be determined by the executive committee. ' .
The selection of Melbourne is the result of an invitation extended to tbo >
congress president, Mr. Eobert Bell, of Christehurcli, New Zealand, by the Australian Government and Victorian. Centenary officers.
Mr. Frank L. Martin, associate deaa of Missouri University School of Jouxnalisin, has been nominated as' chairman of the convention.
