RELIEF AT DUNEDIN

DUNEDIN, This Day.
For the year just ended, tho Mayor's relief organisation, through seven depots, gave £9000 for relief purposes. Coal dealt with totalled 58,714 bags, and men's, women's, and children's clothes and footwear purchased for distribution cost £12,387, on which the subsidy expended was £3598. In addition to tho subsidy, assistance was rendered for special relief in necessitous cases, Christmas cheer camps, Hud sundry cspensos totalling ;£S4OS.
