A NOVEL SCHOOL
..Miss Gilpin, of Weybridgc, England., has for tho last seven years conducted a vacation school on the shores of the Ammer See Lake, near Munich. This summer the school is being held this month,- The pupils are English, German, and French schoolchildren between the ages'of twelve and sixteen, fifty from each country. No actual lessons <are given, but it is a fixed rule of the school that every pupil must speak only in a foreign tongue. The clay .begins . with n dip in tho lake, then follows two hours of foreign language conversation, and the afternoons aro devoted to excursions, games, and sport. This year tho climax of tho term will be a visit to the Passion Play at Obcrammergau. ,
