ARMY SERVICE CORPS
A very cnjpyablo ball was held in St. Francis Hall, Hill Street, on Tuesday night,' when the officers, warrant officers, n.c.o.s,'and men of- the 2nd Composite Company, New Zealand , Army Service Corps, entertained many guests.
The hall was very tastefully decorated, the stage being furnished as an official lounge, while the Imperial Dance Orchestra, conducted by Mr. Graham Scott, was accommodated on a speciallyconstructed and decorated stage in the centre of the ballroom. The music left nothing to be desired eithor from the standpoint of tone or timo. Just prior to the entrance of the official party "Eeveillo" was played on tho trumpet by Sergeant James, Ist Battalion, Wellington Regiment, followed by the warning for parade. Tho "Grand March" was headed by MajorGeneral Sir William- Sinclair-Burgess. Lieutenant C. T. Warner proved a very efficient M.C.
Supper was announced by Sergeant James playing "Officers' Mess" and
the "Mess Call." The supper arrangements were in the hands of Mr, G. R. Robinson.
A charming exhibition : o£ dancing was given by Mr. Southern Colledge and Miss Mpna Waterhouse.
