Speak ing of the laity and their attitude towards clergymen, tho bishop said that they had an idea that parsons were ter ribly shocked if one spoke to them. The padre, however, is tho one person who \von't be shocked. "Probably," he added,'"he has seen a great deal more of life than vim havp."
