SUCCESS IN COMPETITION
The results o£ the . British Draniii League's .-play-writing, competition havts just come to hand from .England.. liij the section for serious one-act plays, two New Zealand playwrights received honourable moiitjoh. for- their entries. • Thcscj were Mrs. Targuse, of T.ima'rn,'andMre, Coulter,, of Fairlie, South Cantarbury. Mrs. Tnrgnso's. entry, "The Fugitive," was placed second in the" competition, and isl recoinaiendcd, for publication. Of the other three, plays receiving 'honourable mention were "Men for Pieces," also byi Mrs. .Targuse,' and' "The Koe-lcdea Calls/ by iire. Goulter. Approximately two 'hundred plays fi'ow* all parts of the British Isles and the Dot minions were entered' for this • competition, and the organisers and'judges i "have} noted with. pleasure this year, alnumbeij of entries from New.
