SHOP BROKEN INTO
POLICE MAKE ARRESTS
The shop o£ Mr. K. ITuhrmaim, in ■'■'■ Lower Cuba Street, was broken into some time on -Wednesday night, and ?; watches, clocks, and necklets, to the *i value of £78 19s 6d were stolen. Entrance was gained to tho premises through a window. In the Magistrate's Court today, bofore Mr. E. Page, S.M., Arthur George Hugh Hughes, a carpenter, aged 39, and Harold James Williams, a labourer, aged 62, were jointly charged with the offence. Detective-Sergeant Eevell said that tho accused were arrested last night, and he asked for a remand until August 17.
