BROKEN PROPELLER
MISHAP TO CANADIAN
HIGHLANDER

The Canadian National steamer' Canadian Highlander, which .is eu route from Montreal to Auckland,; has reported by wireless that she has lost a propeller blade and is now steaming at a reduced speed. The. vessel's position at noon was 756 miles from Auckland, and she expects to arrive on Sunday. She has general cargo for Auckland, Wellington, and Australian ports.
Before the steamer leaves for Wellington she will probably have the broken propeller replaced by a spare one which is usually carried on the deck, of every overseas vessel.
