AUCKLAND, August 8. The appointment of Mi;. TV J. W. Buxtou as president, and Mr. Norman Wade as one of the two vice-presidents was. made by the committee of the Auckland Trotting Club. Mr. C. V. Mark was reappointed the other vice-president. - It was resolved to place on record appreciation of the services rendered to the club by Mr. John Rowe, the retiring president, and Mr. H. Morpeth, the retiring yice-president, both of whom were defeated when the committee was elected at the annual meeting of members last wcclc. Mr. Morpeth was madn a life inomlirr of the dub, an honour that lias already been conferred upon Ml1. Kowe.
