PENCHANT FOR CHINESE
A penchant, for Chinese names is being shown, by tho Auckland -owiidr Mr. A. D. Potter for his horses. Recently the name of Tai Yung,, meaning the Sun, was claimed for his now two-year-old gelding by Paladin from the imported He) mare Black Eyed Sue; and now the name of Fei JMah lias'been bestowed, on'his two-year-old chestnut colt by Paladin from the Robert the Bruce: mare Capable,' dam also of the versatile Maori Boy. Fei Mali inthe'Cantonese dialect means "fat horse."
