CANOPY AND BURNISH
.'.The Koatanui stitdmastcr, Mr.. G. M, Currie, has both Canopy and Burnish engaged in the Wanganui Guineas next month, but the question of which- will represent him has not yet been settled. Mr. Currie returned from his visit to Australia early last week, and on. the displays of the two fillies during the next couple of weeks will depend his decision with regard to representation. Burnish has recently been slipping along well at Wanganui in her track efforts, which have not as yet been seriously against the watch, and Canopy is also doing well, the pair having furnished out considerably during their winter respite.
Spiral', another of Mr. Curries horses, now four years old, has also pleased by the manner in which he has got through his tasks, and in company with Midiaii last Saturday morning he traversed four furlongs on number one grass track in good style. With the benefit of a couple of rotes Spiral should l>o in the picture in his spring engagements. Midian, too, looks like coming to hand quickly.
