Lieutenant E. H. Courage, of H.M.S. Dunedin, will leave- Auckland by the Aorangi on August 21 to attend a special signal courso in England. He will be replaced in the Dunedin by Lieutenant T. D. Herrick, of H.M.S. Laburnum, whoso place will be taken by Sub-Lieutenant H. S. Barber, who will arrive from England nest month.

Mr. A. K. Anderson, headmaster of St. Andrew's College, Christchureh, for tho" past 14 years, who lias been appointed headmaster of Scots College, Sydney, was farewellod on Tuesday by the Board of Governors of St. Andrew's College, ■ tho St. Andrew's College, Parents' Association, heads of secondary schools in Christchureh, and representatives of many other organisations. Tho Bey. J. Lawson Robinson, chairman of tho Boar^ of Governors, who presided, said that it was a tribute to tho Presbyterian colleges of New Zealand that two of their headmasters should be selected to fill such important positions in Australia. Mr. Anderson was presented with a wallet of notes and Mrs. Anderson with a leather handbag.
