£50 DAMAGES AWARDED

AUCKLAND, This Day.
On grounds that the display was indecent and might offend patrons, the joint managers of the Auckland Winter Exhibition closed down a waxworks show which included, ■ among other, effigies of murderers, one of William Alfred Bayly, hanged for the Euawaro murders. On Tuesday the proprietors of the waxworks, H. E, and F. J. Johnson, claimed £90 from the "Wintrr Exhibition authorities as damages fo" loss of business alleged breach of contract. Today the case was concluded, judgment being given for tho plaintiffs for £50 and costs, >•■
