PIGEONS ON THE LINE
A new use was made recently of homing pigeons when a train was derailed near St. Boswblls, on tho London* and North-Eastern Railway. The breakdown gang had to work two wiles from tho nearest telephone, so they took with them some homing pigoons, pots, of tho stationmastcr, and, when the line was cleared tho pigeom were sont with the message to St. Boswells and traffic' was,'resumed. ;
