1 (By Telegraph—Press Association;) NELSON, August 7. ' At a meeting of the No. 7 Transport Licensing Authoriyt today, the chairman, Dr. S. A. Gibbs, drew attention to the ■ increasing number of accidents on New Zealand roads. The authority wished to impress on all drivers the necessity of obeying regulations, he said.
"You' ha,vo powerful vehicles and noisy ones. Your eye should be flickering to the rear vision mirror watching the following traffic which wishes to pass," ho added. '' I urge you to givo informatio nto following sars by sigjialling 'Pass on.' " Dr. Gibbs added thai in England the "pass on" signal Was always given, but in New Zealand, perhaps owing to tho less dense traffic, It. was not generally given. It was road assitance and courtesy which, could well bo generally practised.
