Construction is to 'begin of the ''Centenary Eiffel iWer," which is to bo 440 foot high, and surmounted by the largest aerial beacon in the world, on a site adjoining Princes' Bridge, lualf a mile outside the city.
Tho cost will bo ESo^Off. The tower •will be visible for 100 miles, and will lihoUse a Continental cabaret, a Spanish /garden, loungos, and a crecne. It will have high-speed lifts to convey people to the 300 feet level, where there will bo accommodation for 900 people. Tho lifts will then continue for another 100 feet, where there will be a : smaller promenade accommodating 600. • ■■■•■.-■ :•
