STANDS AT £226,543,393
REPAYMENTS LAST YEAR
The total amount of tho Public Debt repaid or redeemed during tho year ended March 31 last was £1,776,270, according to the report of the Public Debt Commission, presented to Parliament yosterday.
At the end of March last the amount of the Public Debt outstanding was £226,543,393 Is 3d, and the total amount that has been paid since tho operation of tho Repayment otl the Public Debt Act, 1925, is £10,208,873.
