MODIFICATIONS REQUIRED
The subject of marriage was discussed at tho last general meeting of tlic Wellington Limbless Men's Association by the 33 limbless returned soldiers present. : '' , Pensions for wives wero advbcaetd and it was decided unanimously to pndorsc the.resolution of tlio Dominion R.S.A. conference- " That marriage contracted at any timo after discharge should be accepted and war pensions paid to wives and widows accordingly provided always that the exsoldier was in reasonable health at the time of marriage." ; Many' soldiers were incapacitated while under the age of 21, it was said. They could hardly be expected to get married within two years from tho date of discharge as laid down, in the Act. Even if that limit was extended by legislation to seven years,, it would still operate unfairly against some limbless1 men. \ ■ , ■ ; , It was decided to call a special meeting of the committee and unemployed members.to go into the fluestion of finding permanent work for all unemployed limblessjmen^^^_^:
