WILFORD SCHOOL
MINISTERIAL VISIT
The Minister of Education (the Hon. E. Masters), accompanied by the M.P. for the district, Mr. W. Nash, visited the "Wilfo'rd School,'Petone, this morning in company with Mr. T. Forsyth (chairman) and Messrs. W. V. Dyer and James Stonehduse, members' of tho Wellington Education Board, and Messrs. E. S. Hilson and F. W; Powell, secretary and architect ■to tho board. Tho party. was shown over the school by the chairman (.Mr. V. Noble) and other members of the school'committee. The school committee has for some time been asking for additional accommodation owing to the growing needs of the district, and the visit was arranged to givo 'tho Minister an opportunity to sco the present conditions under which the staff and pupils work.
The party also paid a visit to the Central School.
The Minister was thanked for his visit, and-in reply promised to give the matter.consideration, •'•.-•
