CHANGEABLE WEATHER

WITH COLD TEMPERATURES

Owing to the formation of a slight depression- in tho roar of the one which, after crossing the Dominion, has now passed away eastward, the anticipated southerly change has not been severe. But in spite of the fact of better weather being in evidence this morning, New Zealand has not as yet finished with the effects of tho disturbance. The forecast issued at noon today is for moderate to strong westerly to south-westerly winds, but soutkerlies will soon become general again. In districts with a westerly aspect the weather will be, . changeable with showers at times, and showers will es> tond later to parts of eastern districts. Otherwise tho weather should be mainly fair, but snow is likely on the ! ranges, together with, hail in the south, and temporatures will bo cold. Yesterday's depression has passed away eastward, but the slight one following has pnly just crossed the southern part of the country.
