BEEF EXPORT TRADE
BOARD CHAIRMAN'S VIEWS
Mr.; David Jones, chairman of the New Zealand Meat Board, in a statement in the Christchurch "Press," said the board had made arrangements for the shipmerit of reasonable quantities of beef in quarters to Great Britain. The export of beef in quarters had been prohibited by Order. in Council in accordance with the desire of the British authorities, and exporters and farmers with beef in store would no doubt be pleased to learn that arrangements had been made for the shipment of reasonable quantities. Producers of bobby calves were receiving Od a head less than they had done before the embargo against their shipment. This had removed a difficulty with which the dairy factories had been faced, said Mr. Jones. They were now getting an abundant supply of veils for cheese-making.
