He inspected the 7,000,000 dollar power project on the Columbia River, and said that it was to be controlled by the Government for all time. It and similar Government projects, including tho St. . Lawrcnco waterway, ■ivould be yardsticks to show whether the public were paying the proper price for electricity.
According to a message- from Spokane in Washington State the sheriff revealed that a sack of dynamite was found four days ago near a right-of-way two miles from there over which President Roosevelt's special train was scheduled to arrive from Portland.
A railroad wq,tch-towor operator saw men deposit a package. Detonating caps wore found with the explosives, An armed force of police and secret servico men is guarding the spot.
