MINIATURE RIFLES
NEW ASSOCIATION FORMED
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) TIMARU, August 5. At a meeting of delegates on Saturday night a South Island Miniature Rifle Association wa... formed, with headquarters in Tiinaru. Mr. W. Duncan, president of the Tiinaru Association, was elected presi-_ dent; Mr. J.' 'C. Faulkner (Waimate), deputy-president'; Mr. M. Higgins (Timaru), secretary. Delegates were present from Christchurch, Ashburton, Mackenzie, South Canterbury, Tiniaru, Waimate, Oamaru, and Dunediu. The South .Island 'championship, fired last night, was won by P. D. Cook, of Tengawai (South Canterbury). The South Island women's chanipionship was won by Mrs. Smith, Wards Club (Chrisfjchurch). Mrs. Rag«, New Brighton, was second. The South Island team championship match was won by Pleasant Point.
