Thistle eliminated Petone in the North Island final of the, Chatham Cup Soccercompetition (it Blmidford Park today, the foriner winning by four goals to one. Heavy rain showers and a sloppy ground made conditions difficult-, but the players rose above these handicaps and gave a sparkling exhibition. The first half was evenly contested.
