Nadu had the advantage of the wind in the opening half and play had not been long in progress when Kelly, •_ I'. MeGrcgor, and Shankic combined iu a nice movement, the centre-forward, transferring to Hawken, who opened the score for Swifts. The winners continued to press and went close to scoring, but it was not until Kelly broke through some tuns later and passed to Shankie that the second goal camo. Nada began to attack and hail some golden opportunities, all of which ■ivero literally thrown away. At last Win to cleverly worked his way through and found the net, and just afterwards- MeLeod shaved the post with a fierce drive. At half-time the score was: Swifts 2, Nada I
'Nada had-the better of the second half, but again scoring chances were missed, often by players impeding one another. Soon, after play started "Kelly threatenec. to score and though the goalie cleared Shaukie found the net. After a Nada attack was repulsed Dainty finished off a ragged movement with a goal and Swifts were three up. A shot from Blair which must have found the net was just blocked by a defender, then J. Cullen hit the bar when the. goal was wide open and at last Swifts moved out' for Hawken to open tho way and Hamill to score with a good drive. Kcid- then hit the;bar for Nada and the •"ball.-bounced back to R. Cullcn, who beat the goalie. Near the close Swifts made the pace hot and Shankio finished off an attack' by goaling for the third time. The final score was: Swuva 0, Nada 2. Mr. G. Forbes was the reforoc.
