RACE AT MASTERTON
WELLINGTON COMPETITORS
Tho Mustcrlou Amateui' Road Cycling Club held a 2V-k miles' open race at Mastertou on Saturday, afternoon, in which] 21 riders faced the starter. The visiting : riders from "Wellington" made tho trip and; were most, successful. I<\ Robinson, 11. S. Webber, J. Wilson, K. Wilson, J. Arlklge, 0. King, and C. HcGurk made the journey, and JUr. Natti-ass (chairman of the Cycling Centre and delegate of the Mustcrton Uubj took up. .with him K. Natlrasss, J. Morris, C. Beggs, and M. Dutton and sou. IS. lving also made the trip. . C. McGurk, off 6mln,' wus most unfortunate in puncturing whilst with the winning bunch two miles from home. The limit riders were sent away 9mm before the scratch bunch. The outward journey took 3pnun. Wright was first to turn, closely followed by his co-markers, Dean and Burns.
