SUPREME COURT.
NO CIVIL CASES NEXT WEEK
The quarterly sessions of the Supreme Court will open at Wellington on Monday morning. It was originally intended to take civil as well as criminal eases, but as the Chief Justice (Sir Michael Myers) will be the only Judge available in Wellington, and he will be taking the criminal cases, no civil actions will be tried nest week.
The Chief Justice is to sit in Chambers tomorrow week at 9.30 a.m. for the purpose of making fixtures for the •trial of civil actions to commence on July 30. In a notice to legal practitioners issued today by the Deputy -Registrar of the Court (Mr. E. G. Rhodes) it is stated that it-, will be necessary to make fixtures for each day, commencing with July 30, so that, the business may proceed continuJB«sl£. /
