BULLER DEFEAT WEST COAST

WESTPOJtT, July 14. The return home-and-home match between Buller and West Coast was played this, afternoon. The weather was fine but the ground was heavy with overnight and early morning rain. Showing greater initiative Buller scored 9 points (tries by Mann and Hill and a penalty goal by Holder). West Coast replied with a fine try by Fong after a pretty passing movement, and later from a forward scramble B, Kelly scored and Gilbert converted, the game ending in victory for Buller by 9 points to 8.
. The game was always fast and interesting, the forwards playing hard football, and the backs combining well in speedy passing movements.
