SUSTENANCE SCHEME
COMMITTEE'S OBJECTION

Strong,objection to the ; present sustenance scheme as it affects B Vilass relief workers was expressed by members of the Christehurch Citizens' Unemployment Committee today. A motion of protest was carried unanimously in which it was urged that men be put on light relief work or otherwise be paid full sustenance.
Copies of the motion are to be for warded to the members of Cabinet.
A member of the committee said he felt that Mr. Bromley," deputy chairman of the Unemployment' Board, had "sold the committee a. pup" in assuring them that some arrangement was to be made with hospital boards to assist these
