NEW SCHOOL AT PARAMATTA
For many years primary 'school childrea in Paremata and the' surrounding district have, been receiving, their."education- in. the local hall at Paremata, but now they have been provided : with an orthodox seat o£ learning. A fine new school building has been erected on the left-hand side of the main road almost immediately behind the railway stations.and it will.,be officially opened by .the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, at 11.30 a.m. /on ■ July 4.
The new school has been constructed according to the latest design of school architecture, providing a maximum oi; light and ventilation. -It contains two class rooms, one measuring 21ft Gin- by 20ft, and the other 21ft Cm by 17ft. There is a teachers' room measuring 9ft 6in.by; ,
7ft, and a corridor 28ft. long by 7ft wide. A. moderately large porch i? also provided. The average school attendance in the district at the'present time is forty-three, and the new school will accommodate twt» teachers. ' "■-.'•'
