Following a dispute concerning the loading of tho Waipiata and discharging of tho Wingatui . yesterdriy tho Waipiata was dispatched last night for Wellington. She left some, cargo at Lyttelton.- .
The Wingatui remained in port ovcrnighft and -was made a "preference" ship. When a call was mad 6 for the Wingatui the men at work yesterday offered themselves for re-engagement, but tho Union Company's foreman, is stated, declined to accept them. No other watersido workers offered themselves. '
TJio only other labour engaged today was two gangs for tho Rangatint anil two gangs for the Tecs. This moans tho delay of several vessels.in port.
