A HAPPY EVENING

PARTY AT BROOKLYN

A delightful party was held recently in Waldie's Hall, Brooklyn, by Mrs. L. Barber, in honour. of her daughter, Freda. Mis.. AY. Yare (who wore lemon floral mariette) and Mrs. W. T. Paget (whose frock was of purple elephant crepe and silver lace) assisted as hostesses. Mrs. Barber wore a handsome gown of wine elephant crepe and lace, and the guest of honour a frock of white organdie with pink velvet sash and bow.

Dancing, interspersed with items, games, and competitions, whiled away a particularly happy evening, which closed with the hearty singing of "Auld Lang Syne."- Duets were rendered by Mrs. J. Steel and Mr. Aldrich; songs by. Mr. E. Quirk gave much pleasure, and a clever exhibition of tap-dancing by Master Bay Dorizae was enthusiastically received. Features of the enjoyment were the delectable home-made, sit-down supper, and the spirited dance music supplied by Mr. H. Palmer. Miss Betty Hewson was the winner of the "guessing" competition, and Miss McNally and Mr. J. Hood won the "Elopement" game. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. J. Creeke, Mr. and Mrs. B.
