PRICE AND RETURN

In the table hereundery notified sales on the Stock Exchange for the week ended noon yesterday are. recorded with the highest and lowest price* received and the approximate yields per cent, per annum —redemption and brokerage being considered on Government and other debentures where dated. Returns are based on the highest prices reported during the week, and the la3t annual dividends plus bonuses,'if any. The 3% per cent. Government stock and, bonds are free of income tax to .the half-yearly interest dates next following their pre-conversion maturity dates, but all yields are subject to any appropriate taxation and exchange, and are contingent upon the sums made available for, distribution being the same as last year
