WATERSIDER'S CLAIM
Decision was reserved by the Arbitration Court today in a claim for compensation made by Frank Harris, waterBide worker, against'-Geo.' H. Scales (Pacific), Ltd. .-.'.- ;
In his statement of claim the'plaintiff said that on December 7/ 1933/ he was assisting to load oil on the-water-front, when a case slipped and hit him on. the left shin. The accident arose out of and iv the course of his employment with the defendant .company. In consequence of the accident the plaintiff alleged that lie was disabled and was advised that the;disablement would, continue for some time to ..come.
He had received, from the; company compensation at.the' rate"o£;fi|3-Ss- 5d a week from the date of the accident till March 10, 1934, sinec when, the company had refused to pay compensation. The plaintiff claimed further compensation. . --. ■■■■...'■
The defence was a general denial of the statement of claim.
Mr. Justice Blair presided on ths Bench, and associated with him were Messrs. A., L. Monteith and "W. Cecil Prime. .
Mr. O. C-. Mazengarb appeared for the plaintiff and Mr. W. E. Leicester .for the defendant company.
