THE KAWARAU SCHEME
'.By Telegraph)
(Special to the "Evening Post.") '. ' DUNEDIN, May 30. "During the last few weeks," says the "Cromwell Argus," "we have received many inquiries regarding the Kawarau scheme and prospect of launching the project on the London market.
"The amount of the preliminary work and detail associated with a venture of the magnitude of the Kawarau was not generally realised, and many were unduly hasty in expecting the flotation of a company. "We are now iv; a position' to give information that everything is progressing quite satisfactorily. Before launching the project the responsible board at Home had to satisfy itself on all legal aspects, and as a result a complete search was made on its behalf of all legal documents and titles. This was imperative and it has been in progress during the last two weeks. "At the moment it is confidently anticipated that all the necessary investigations will be completed in less than a fortnight, when the issue will be proceeded with."
