KING'S CUP AIR RACE
SEVERAL NEW TYPES

RUGBY, May 27. The King's Cup air race, which is the most important, annual event of its kind in Britain, promises this year to be exceptionally interesting. The 38 entries which have been received include several new types of fast civil aeroplanes and engines. Thero is among these newcomers the tiny Percival Mew Gull, entered by Prince George, which has a speed of .over 200 miles an hour; tho Comper Streak,' entered by Lord Wakefield: and tho new British Klemm Eagle, entered ,by Mr. Gandar Dower.
Among the new engines will be the 200 horse-power Gipsy Six Pobjoy Cataract and the Wolseloy AR9. ' The performances of these new entrants will be closely compared by aviation enthusiasts with those of longer established types. ' The race, which takes placo on July 13 and 14, over an' 800 miles course, is divided into four rounds, with probably eight heats in the first round, four in the second, and two in the third.
