ftraph—Copyright. (Heceived May 29, 10 a.m.) NEW YOEK, May 28. The French flyers, Paul Codos and Maurice Eossi, landed safely at Floyd Bennett Field at 1.38, Eastern standard time. Kcports of their progress near the American . Coast were received from time to time,.
At midnight the flyers reported: "We aro laying a course, for Nova Scotia. Navigation is difficult and piloting laborious, with no outside visibility. All goes well."
By 3 o'clock iv tho morning it was believed that they must be over Nova Scotia, but they had not been sighted. It was then expected that they would fly over New York at noon and reach their goal on the Pacific coast perhaps 24 hpurs later.
A later message stated that the French aeroplane was presumably flying through banks of heavy fog along the Nova f^cotia coast early *on Monday, according to radio advices, which reported that it was in the fag, but did not give its exact location.
The airmen were then reported to havo been sighted , over Frenchmen's .Bay, Maine, at 10 o'clock on Monday morning.
Subsequently the- United States Navy department was advised by coastguard, at North Truro, Massachusetts, near Cape Cod, that the French aviators hadlanded at 10 o'clock, but there was no information as to whero the landing was' made. ' Earlier reports reaching Brooklyn stated that ( tho machine would land at Floyd Bennett field.
Tho flyers were reported to have experienced minor engine trouble and to have decided to land after covering approximately 3700 miles in 38 hours 28 minutes.
Rossi said that, an undue vibration of the wings due to tho (Strain from the heavy load of gasoline caused them to decide to land hero instead of proceeding to the' Pacific Coast.
