. 'AUCKLAND, May 28. The Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe,'has been asked to communicate.to the people of the Dominion the following statement, which forms part of an announcement to bo made from Buckingham Palace today concerning the proposed visit of tho Duke of Gloucester, to Australia and New.Zealand: — fsHis Eoy'al Highness will arrive at Wellington, New Zealand, on December 15. He wijl visif many of the principal towns and' other places of interest in the Dominion during his stay there. '' » "He 'will spend Christmas at, Government" House, 'A'uokland, and_' after crossing to the South Island on Janu-. ary 4 will stay at Chiistchuich from January 9 to 11,' and at Dnnedin from January 18 to 21. He will leave Dunedin on January 21 for Lyttelton, and embark there in H.M.A.B. Australia. "After his departure he will spend a few, days, in the Bay of Islands in order to enable him to visit: Russell and1 Waitangi, and also to give him an. opportunity for some deep-sea fishing. "His Boyal Highness will then proceed to Fiji for a short visit, and will afterwards call at Western Samoa,"
